McCourt has a background in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu/BJJ, having won the bronze medal at the Northern Ireland Judo Open in 2013 and 2014, and also winning the gold medal at the IBJJF World NoGi Championships in the brown belt division in 2021. She was the 2016 IMMAF World Champion, and the 2015 IMMAF European Open Champion.
