What's crazy to me is even though he fell off, he's only been finished by TKO once by Max Holloway and his hand was broken and he was getting lit up. He didn't go out though.

And before he went to PFL the guy was never really in a boring UFC fight, for the most part and of course his WEC days.

Other dudes a Russian wrestler, I doubt it will be over. Also Egyptian dude as an underdog when he was a ******* -1250 favorite (dumbassly) in his last fight? 🤣🤣🤣 **** outta here. Both those odds are ridiculous

Silveria's a bigger favorite over Omari Akmedov than he was against Martin Hamlet even though his win changed literally nothing cause everyone already knew he was gonna win. And Hamlet is a favorite over a guy he already lost too (and not too long ago) because that makes sense. Also yeah idc how much BJJ you do, you shouldn't be a favorite over ANYONE if you haven't done MMA for 10 years

yeah Sebie is weird case, he shouldn't been a -1k favorite in that bellator fight but now he's facing someone who's got like one pro fight and he's the underdog, must wonder how much that loss lowered his stock amongst the bettors lol

Also about the Elmar/Barbosa fight, yeah it's true that the BJJ difference is huge but that's if it gets there, if Barbosa gets a takedown fairly early in the round then he will probably get the sub and if Elmar is dumb enough to stay on top of Barbosa after stuffing a takedown or god forbit try to take him down then it could most likely be over as well but the fact that he's got good TDD and the other guy hasn't fought in MMA in a bit less than a decade, meaning he probably hasn't experienced a guy trying to stand with him or not go to his realm and defend his takedowns, gives me more confidence in Elmar to do it

Sebie looked like **** in his last fight but he does possess KO power and trains at ATT. I couldn’t even find a photo of the other guy until the weigh-ins. At plus money, I’m willing to bet on Sebie to finish the fight early on.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 685th

Akhmedov vs. Silveira
Josh Silveira, TKO, R3
Very 50/50 to me, Silveira hasn't looked like amazing so far in PFL but I believe he'll be able to have sort of a stalemate fight, especially in the grappling, against Akhmedov in the first two and finish a more gassed Omari in the 3rd. Wouldn't be surprised if Akhmedov beats and even finishes him though

Hendricks vs. Hamlet
Cory Hendricks, DEC
They're both for the most part grapplers and Hendricks got sort of a comeback win in the first fight but I think this time he'll able to defend the takedowns and edge out a decision. The two fights I decided to write comments about are the two fights I'm not confident in, I might even switch my Silveira pick come fight day

Saw an interview from Elmar where he said he's looking to KO Barbosa, so at the very least he seems smart enough to know that he's ****** on the mat and will just keep it standing.

How are 80% picking against ibjjf world champion juiced to the gills? Just remember that this is not a dagestani/chechen wrestler...This is a turkish/russian guy who doesn't have cauliflower ears.On these odds at the moment i think it's a gift picking Barbosa

I don't look at those 3fights they are irrelevant now he is a different man he is world class in one segment of the game and I'm pretty sure he was preparing a long time before makeing this step and the turkish/russian guy is avarage almost everywhere and also knocked out not long ago by regional fighter i think a lot of people picked him only becauae of his name but the truth is he don't have that "russian" wrestling pedigreelike dagestani and chechenya company.

That “regional fighter” is a solid prospect. Umarov is not your typical Russian but he’s at least active in the sport of mma. You can be elite in a certain aspect of mma but it doesn’t make you a god. Just look at sebie for example; Olympic wrestler yet the second he faced adversity he gassed out and got embarrassed. Or rodolfo viera for example. He has elite bjj but only a blast double, a jab, and no gas tank. Sure barbosa is elite on the mat but does he actually have any skills to get it there? He hasn’t been practicing mma so who even knows if he has a gas tank if he doesn’t get the fight down to the mat

First you can't comapre rodolfo with these guys he is at the moment at a much higher level faceing well rounded killers, now about sebie yea you are right mma is different sport but you are wrong if you think that barbosa isn't going in boxing or muay thai gyms he maybe isn't competing but i'm 99% sure that he is preparing and training for this fight, at the end of the day we will see i have different opinion you have different opinion and that's that.

I mean I’m sure he is going to boxing gyms but that only does so much. It’s not like he’s going to develop striking overnight yknow? If the fight does hit the ground it’s over for umarov, I just don’t know if barbosa has the skills to do it. I also don’t believe in ring rust but fighting a decade ago and coming back is a serious layoff; it’s almost like he’s remaking his pro debut. I respect your pick tho
